A significant number of pupils have exceptional knowledge, skills and aptitudes in one (talented pupils) or several (gifted pupils) areas of the curriculum. Teachers have higher expectations of these pupils and set them greater challenges in the classroom or games field. In addition, we arrange extra optional courses and workshops to stimulate and develop these children. Recent opportunities include courses on creative writing, run by a published author, a course on Shakespearean drama run by a professional actor, workshops on creative and critical thinking at a local senior school, a weekend art workshop, presentations on aspects of modern physics, and sports sessions to develop high-level talent.
