Regular class visits are arranged to outdoor activity and nature centres, castles, museums, exhibitions and galleries, and to other places of educational interest.
Children in the upper junior classes have three residential class outings. The Year 4 fieldwork trip to Flatford Mill in Suffolk introduces pupils to the challenges and delights of dormitory life, night walks, ecological surveying, pond dipping and much more. At the Isle of Wight study centre the Year 5 children undertake geographical fieldwork and a range of challenging adventurous activities. In Year 6, the children spend a week in France, learning about the language and culture, and enjoying a memorable week with friends during their final term at the school. |
