Plays and Concerts

Much activity takes place over and above timetabled drama and music classes.

All children take part in regular class assemblies which they perform to the school and to which parents are invited. In addition, all children take part in at least one major drama production nearly every year, at school or one of two local theatres. Many children choose to join the extra-curricular drama classes which are offered to all children, from Nursery to Year 6, and additional workshops are offered from time to time to our most talented actors and actresses.

All children are taught the recorder, some hundred or so children are learning to play one of nine other instruments, we have an orchestra, recorder consort, brass group, string group and flute choir, and over 150 children sing in one of our four choirs. Our young musicians perform regularly in Thursday assembles, and a major Musicians' Concert is held annually at All Saints' Church.
