Lower School have also been raising funds this week, with their nearly new book sale, a Reception obstacle race and the 'Soak the Teacher' event today and have raised over £230 so far. We thank all parents who allowed their children to bring in some money and take part in the activities.
The total raised so far by the St. Helen's College community for this year's Relay for Life stands at just under £4000. There are more fundraising events to come, including the tog day for Relay for Life on Monday 12th September (suggested minimum donation £2) and, of course, the Relay for Life itself takes place on Saturday 10th September at the Roger Bannister stadium in Harrow. We do hope that we will see many of you there - it is a family day and all of the money raised goes to Cancer Research UK. In the meantime, if you would like to buy a 'Candle of Hope' for the very moving candlelight ceremony, please do so by following this link. You should complete the form and send it to Mrs. Stark at email@example.com.
Your candle will bear your dedication and the candles are lit all around the edge of the track while Relay team members continue to walk through the darkness, to show that cancer never sleeps and nor does the fight against it.
We thank you, as always, for your support for this most worthy of causes.
