Year 2 enjoyed a fantastic trip to the National Gallery this week. The children were very excited to see the portrait of Samuel Pepys and answered many questions about him and the Great Fire of London. The teacher giving the talk said they were fantastic!
All pupils are encouraged to enter this competition by making their own Christmas Tree decoration to be hung on our trees at school.
All entries will receive a small gift and there will be one winner in each class, judged on the final Thursday of term.
Please bring in your decorations from Monday – we look forward to decorating our trees!

If your child would still like to attend and would not mind attending Party 1 from 12 to 1.30 p.m., please do just turn up and pay on the door. Many congratulations to Tito, who has won the London Borough of Hillingdon Road Safety Competition! Tito designed a poster to encourage motorists to slow down, using the catchphrase '20 is Plenty'. Her colourful design and sensible message impressed the judges and she was presented with her award in a special assembly on Thursday. Tito received a trophy and the school received reflective road safety bags to give out to pupils. A representative from Hillingdon Borough Council's Road Safety Team attended the assembly and Tito's win and the presentation are featured in the current issue of the Uxbridge Gazette. Tito's poster has now been made into a banner, which is being displayed at the Parkway entrance of Upper School. Well done Tito!
