The pupils were excited to be able to see their work projected onto the gallery wall of the Tate and to be able to say that they had exhibited there, if only for a few minutes! In the afternoon they replicated the installations with their bodies as a piece of performance art. Then they visited the 20th/21st century galleries and thought of themes that linked some of the pieces. They decided on themes of: familiarity, wanting to know the back story to a piece, layers, colour and pattern and art work that made them feel uncomfortable. It was a tiring but thought provoking day and everyone felt that they had learnt something new and had had several surprises.
We hope that you enjoy these photographs of the day.
