Over the last ten days we have seen some really super assemblies at school.
Today, 6L performed a moving tribute to their parents and teachers. Through song, dance, an animated slideshow and personal speeches, they expressed gratitude for their many blessings. The animation will soon be uploaded to the Year 6 blog.
1H performed a wonderful assembly all about the Amazonian rainforest. The children told the audience lots of facts about the rainforest and performed some lovely songs - the monkey song was a particular favourite!
Thursday Music Assembly has become extremely popular. This week we had a real feast of music with eight musicians playing instruments and singing. We were even treated to a piano duet. Musicians this week were: Shian - trumpet; Samuel - piano; Helina - flute; Tanya - singing; Aaron - guitar; Kiran - violin; Chloe and Emily - piano duet. Well done musicians!
The 5S assembly was all about WaterAid, reflecting what the class has been learning about in their geography lessons. The 5S pupils taught their parents and peers about the problems faced by people living in countries with unsanitised water supplies. The assembly even helped to raise some money for WaterAid, since Year 5 children filled plastic bottles with coins to donate to the charity.
