Parents’ evenings provide opportunities for you to consult your child’s teacher, view work and discuss progress. The dates and timings are as follows:
Wednesday 10th October 7 – 9 p.m.
Monday 15th October 7 - 9 p.m.
Thursday 18th October 4 - 6 p.m.
Booking details are provided below. You will need to arrive fifteen minutes or so before your appointment so that you will have time to peruse your child’s work. Work will be laid out in the hall (on 10th and 15th) where coffee will be available or outside the classrooms (18th) when the hall is being used by Funtasia.
The teachers' timetables will be tight, and we would ask you to avoid over-running your appointment allocation of fifteen minutes. If more discussion time is needed, then you should make a further appointment to see the teacher on another day, rather than hold up other parents.
Kindly remember not to park in the Methodist car park, or to block drives in Long Lane.
Upper School parents’ evenings – Years 2 – 6
There will be two parents’ evening this term for parents of children in Years 2 to 6. They will take place on Tuesday 9th and Monday 15th October and will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Please note that specialist teachers of subjects other than English, maths and (Y4-6 only) science will not be available on the parents’ evenings, however you may make appointments to see them on another occasion if they so wish.
On the parents’ evenings:
• Your children’s work will be laid out for you to view. Please arrive fifteen minutes before your first appointment so that you have time to peruse it.
• Teachers will be seated in the hall and downstairs classrooms.
• A bell will be rung to indicate the beginning/end of consultations and parents should move straightaway to their next appointment.
• Please ensure that you are not late for your appointments. The evenings are likely to be fully bookedand appointments will not be available on the night.
• Refreshments will be provided.
As always, if you do not have time at the parents’ evening to complete your conversation satisfactorily, or wish to speak about confidential matters, please make a separate appointment to see the relevant teacher on another day.
