Please note that tomorrow's District Girls' Netball Rally will now be taking place at Swakeleys School and not at Ryefield School as previously advertised.
Friday 21st March is Sport Relief day. We will be holding a tog day on this day so please encourage your children to come to school dressed in sporty clothes. Each child should bring a donation for the Sport Relief charity (suggested amount £2). We will be holding a 'triathlon' of activities for both Upper and Lower school children to participate in throughout the day (details of activities to follow). Each activity will cost 50p to participate in (an addition of £1.50). Please do support this wonderful charity by encouraging your children to dress 'sportily' and to join in the 'triathlon' of activities; all proceeds will go to Sport Relief. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS DAY IS NO LONGER A HALF DAY, SINCE THERE WILL BE NO OPEN DAY ON SATURDAY 22ND MARCH. You should collect your children at their usual end of day time on this day.
Parents are reminded that the church car park at Lower School is not to be used when dropping off or collecting children. There are safety concerns, and in any case we do not have permission from the owners to do so. Please note that this regulation applies after school hours.
Parents should not park across neighbours' drives.
The school parking regulations are on the website and may be accessed here.
The Holding Area exists to assist parents with two or more children who finish lessons at different times. With this arrangement, parents avoid having to arrive early to collect their younger child, and then having to wait for the older sibling to finish.
a) Parents with two or more children in the Upper School (Years 2 - 6)
At the end of lessons, younger siblings who are in Years 2 or 3 may wait in the Holding Area until the time that your older child finishes class. The 'holding' children will wait in one of the downstairs classrooms. This will be known as the Holding Area, and will be supervised each day by a member of the Funtasia staff.
Please collect your children from the Holding Area promptly at the time that your older child finishes class. Please note that this arrangement does not extend to cover after-school activities.
b) Parents with a child in Year 2 and another in Year 1 at the Lower School
If you have a child in Year 2 and another in a Year 1 class at the Lower School, then your Year 2 child can also join the Holding Area, to allow you time to collect from the Lower School. You must, however, collect your Lower School child first, and your Year 2 child by 3:30 p.m.
c) Parents with two children at the Lower School
Your younger child will be looked after by the Funtasia staff until the time that your older child finishes school, at which time you should collect both children promptly.
In addition to parents with two or more children at the school, the holding arrangements may be used by parents who are lift-sharing with another family. You will need to advise the Holding Area staff so that they are aware that you are lift-sharing and are therefore eligible.
