Tito Wins WOW Award
There were over 1,000 entries from 19 schools for the 5 main categories for the Road Safety Invention Design Competition. The categories were "Crossings", "Transportation", "Cars", "Clothing" and "Gadgets and Apps".
Tito's entry was a winner in the "Gadgets and Apps" category and she designed an app for smartphones called SafeCross, which alerts users via their phone when they are walking and tells them when it is safe to cross the road.
All of the winning entries, including Tito's, have been published in a book, and Tito also won a Kindle Fire tablet, which was presented to her by the Hillingdon Councillor. Well done Tito!
