The Upper School (Years 2-6) Harvest Festival will take place at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday 4th October, at All Saints Church.
All children should bring a donation of food on the day of their Harvest celebration. Food donations will be given this year to the Hillingdon branch of the Salvation Army and to SHOC (Slough Homeless Our Concern), two charities which care for underprivileged and homeless people in Hillingdon and the Slough area. The charities provide food parcels to those in need throughout the year, and especially at Christmas time. In the food parcels, they usually try to provide complete meals, so donations of tinned meat, fish and vegetables, pasta and pasta sauces, tinned fruit and custard or milk puddings are particularly useful. Tea, coffee, sugar, cereals, biscuits and jam are also useful, but do tend to have shorter shelf lives, so dates will need to be considered for these items.
All donations are most welcome and will be greatly appreciated by residents in the local area. We thank you very much in advance for your support, and look forward to seeing you at the Harvest celebrations.
