At Upper School, the School Council had the idea of a Lego competition, and they sounded very excited in assembly today when we announced that it will be going ahead! Children should bring in an entry fee of £2, and will have the chance to build their Lego model during their Golden Time in their classrooms. The theme for the competition is 'Our World' and we hope that pupils will come up with some imaginative ideas of what to build. We will take photographs of the models and there will be prizes for the winning entries. Please send in your child's entry fee early next week; money should be given in to your child's class teacher.
At Lower School, the School Council class representatives came up with an impressive number of fund raising activities and we considered carefully which one would work the best. The Lower School fundraising idea takes to the skies by way of…a paper plane competition!
There will be prizes for the best design/best decorated plane and the furthest flight. A template will be provided but it does not have to be used.
The entry fee at Lower School will be a minimum of £1 - any donations above this will be gratefully accepted for the charity. ‘Take off day’ will be Friday 6th February.
The children have really taken on board the idea of helping others less fortunate than themselves, so please do support them by taking part. The world is your oyster and the sky is the limit! Thank you and good luck!
