One of our Year 6 pupils has been named runner-up in a competition to design an Oyster Card wallet. Arushika entered the competition along with six other St. Helen’s College pupils. The competition was run by the London Borough of Hillingdon’s Road Safety team as part of transition sessions for Year 6 pupils across the Borough. Transition sessions help Year 6 pupils to prepare for the move from primary to secondary school, teaching them about road safety, travel, citizenship and more to help them to adjust to their new lives as secondary school pupils. Arushika’s design featured a strong road safety message and she was awarded a £30 shopping voucher in recognition of her hard work and excellent artwork. Her prize was presented to her in a special school assembly. Congratulations Arushika!
