Relay is a community-led, non-athletic event where teams fundraise, and then join together in the Relay event. There, teams take it in turns to walk round a track for up to 24 hours to signify that "cancer never sleeps". We formed as a team when we lost our colleague, Sarah Swain, and we have "Relayed" each year since then. We have recently committed to Relay 2013 and are now asking for your support.
There will be several events happening at school during the course of the summer term for Relay. Please encourage your children to get involved, have fun and raise money for this very worthy cause. If you have not already done so, please buy a Relay for Life Family Quiz, on sale at both the Upper and Lower School offices (£3). These should be returned to school by half term and the winner will be announced and presented with their prize during the second half of term. Lower School pupils will be making 'Marvellous Moneyboxes' which they will bring home by half term. Please feed them with any spare change at home and send them back into school after half term with your donations.
Events like Relay For Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. By making a donation, you can help more people survive.
If you would like to support us in our fundraising, please donate to our Relay for Life team page. Alternatively, click here if you would like to form your own team.
Many thanks, as always, for your support.
