Once again this year we are entering a team and we are planning lots of fun and exciting fundraising events throughout the summer term to help raise money for this very worthy cause.
Relay for Life 2013 will take place on the weekend of 7th– 8th September. I have created a "Charitable Activities" category in the School News blog. Please look there regularly for news of how our fundraising is progressing and for ways in which you can get involved if you wish. Our team is called ‘St. Helen’s College staff, family and friends’; the group which takes part in the Relay consider themselves to be representative of the whole St. Helen’s Community and our efforts are joint efforts. Please click here if you wish to donate.
A Relay for Life Family Quiz will be on sale from Monday from the Upper School office. This quiz is aimed at Upper School pupils and their families; each quiz costs £3 and completed entries must be handed in to the school office by half term. There will be a prize for the winning family. Please do support Relay by buying the quiz and having fun working out the answers!
At Lower School, our first fundraising initiative will be Marvellous Money Boxes. Pupils will design and create their own exciting money box in art lessons at school. They will then bring their hungry money box home and encourage family and friends to feed it a little at home before returning it to school by half term with donations. Thank you in advance for your support for this; we are sure the children will really enjoy making these!
There will be other exciting fundraising initiatives throughout the term for the whole school and for individual year groups. Please do encourage your children to get involved as much as you can. We are all very excited as we embark on our next Relay and we very much look forward to and appreciate your continued support and involvement. Mrs. Stark
