Regular class visits are arranged for pupils of all ages to outdoor activity and nature centres, castles, museums, exhibitions, galleries and to other places of educational interest.
Children in the upper junior classes have four residential class outings.
The Year 3 trip to Shortenills Environmental Centre gives pupils their first experience of a residential trip and broadens their imaginations, enhancing their creative writing.
The Year 4 fieldwork trip to Flatford Mill in Suffolk introduces pupils to the challenges and delights of dormitory life, night walks, ecological surveying, pond dipping and much more.
At the Isle of Wight study centre the Year 5 children undertake geographical fieldwork and a range of challenging adventurous activities.
In Year 6, pupils spend a week at Le Chateau de la Baudonniere in France, learning about the language and culture and enjoying a memorable week with friends during their final term at the school.
