We would just like to remind you that St. Helen's College will be celebrating World Book Day on Tuesday 3rd March. To mark this special occasion, we would encourage the children to come to school dressed as a favourite character from a book of their choice.
We look forward to seeing the children in fantastic costumes to celebrate the world of books!
If your child usually has an active club or P.E. on Tuesday, they can still come dressed in a costume, but it must be something which they can move around in freely and safely.
Many thanks for your support,
Mr. Fitzsimons and Miss Cooper
We have not set any written homework for the break, but we would like the children to learn their poems for the speech competition; see separate letter sent home for details. Please may we also remind you to look over spellings and mental maths work with the children, in preparation for tests in the first week back. Miss Cooper’s group need to learn the corresponding division facts for the 2 times table and Mr. Fitzsimons’ group will be subtracting numbers 1-20 from any given 2-digit number e.g. 56-12 or 37-9.
Our history topic next half term will be ‘The Great Fire of London’, so you may like to encourage your child to read some information or research facts about this topic.
We hope that you all have a relaxing and enjoyable half term break. The children have been working hard so far this year and we look forward to seeing them continue to impress us for the rest of the year.
Thank you for your support.
Miss Cooper & Mr. Fitzsimons
Dear 2F Parents,
Tomorrow is 2F's Class Assembly. The children will need to come to school dressed in their costumes and will need to bring in their P.E. kits to change into for the afternoon.
We hope to see as many parents as possible attending the coffee morning in the Evans Hall before the assembly, which starts at 8:40 a.m.
