The children have worked very hard this term and we hope that they enjoy their break.
When the children come back after the Easter break we will be testing them on some of the spellings that they have had throughout the term. Please could they revise the spelling patterns learnt over the break. The children will not have a times tables test in the first week back, however we would encourage the children to revise what they have studied this year so far.
Please encourage your child to keep reading during the holidays and note books read in the reading record so that Team Points may be awarded on their return!
Next term in history we will be learning about Florence Nightingale. In the second half of the term our geography topic will be ‘How to keep the local area safer.’ In science, the children will continue with the topic of Living in Habitats, before moving on to Growing Plants. As always we recommend that the children do a bit of research at home and welcome any books or items that are related to the above topics.
Please remember that girls return in summer uniform. Boys should wear normal uniform with caps until shirt sleeve order is announced when the weather becomes hotter.
We hope that you all have a pleasant holiday and look forward to welcoming you back for the Summer Term.
Thank you once again for your ongoing support.
