St. Helen’s College is an outstanding independent prep school and nursery for boys and girls aged from 2-11 years of age, with excellent all-round pupil development and academic results.
Our entry points
At St. Helen’s College we have a thriving Nursery which admits children from the age of 2+ into Ducklings and from 3+ into Cygnets. Entry into Reception is from the age of 4 and we encourage early registrations as we are a very popular school and demand is high.
Inspiring Minds, Shaping Futures
Every lesson is designed to challenge, engage and inspire, with quality teaching at its core. Beyond acquiring knowledge, pupils develop the ability to learn effectively. They engage in self-reflection, identify their strengths, set meaningful goals, and gain a deep understanding of the learning process.
A warm welcome
A very warm welcome from our Head, Ms. Sophie Green
We believe that we have something unique and special to offer the children who attend our school.

We pride ourselves on the exceptional care and attention we give to each individual pupil, encouraging them to be the best they can possibly be. Our pupils strive for and achieve excellence, not only academically but in their all-round endeavours too.
St. Helen’s College children are known locally for their courtesy and manners, their impeccable behaviour, and for their impressive achievements, not least in gaining places at top independent and grammar schools.

Highly articulate confident individuals
“The decision to prioritise oracy skills and to provide opportunities for pupils to use them, results in highly articulate confident individuals. Pupils readily express their thoughts and opinions. This is a significant strength of the school.”
