Our pupils achieve outstanding results in academic subjects, sport, music and drama and transfer at 11+ to some of the best independent and maintained schools in the country.
11+ Success
We are exceptionally proud of our extremely high 11+ pass rate record. We prepare pupils carefully for their transfer at 11+ to senior schools, taking an individual approach. The Head meets with parents regularly from Year 4 onwards to discuss senior school choices and to offer advice and guidance, and we provide an excellent programme of exam materials, practice and interview master classes.
Scholarships
St. Helen’s College pupils have a consistently strong record of achieving scholarships to some of the best local independent senior schools. This year an incredible 40% of our 2026 leavers who sat 11+ independent school examinations were awarded a scholarship, including academic subjects, art, drama and creative writing.
11+ Results and Destination Schools 2026
Our 2026 cohort achieved excellent 11+ outcomes. An outstanding 100% of pupils who sat independent school examinations were offered a place at a school of their choice and an amazing 40% were offered a scholarship.
Pupils’ achieved an 85% pass rate for the Buckinghamshire 11+ examinations, compared with 33% nationally, and a 65% pass rate for the Slough Consortium 11+. The 2026 cohort were also awarded 16 scholarships across academic, creative and performing arts disciplines.

Scholarships
The breadth of our pupils’ talents was recognised through 16 scholarship awards, comprising eight Academic, five Drama, two Art or Performing Arts, and one Creative Writing scholarship. These achievements demonstrate not only the high academic standards of our pupils, but also their creativity, confidence and accomplishment across the arts.

Our Previous Results
Our results in 2025
In our 2025 cohort an outstanding 100% of pupils who sat independent school examinations were offered a place at a school of their choice and 50% were offered a scholarship. 80% of pupils sitting 11+ school examinations at grammar and other schools successfully passed at least one test for a school of their choice. Scholarship awards included academic subjects, art, drama and design and technology at leading independent schools such as Haberdasher Boys’ School, St Helen’s School and Merchant Taylors’ School.
Our Results in 2024
In our 2024 cohort, an extremely high 74% of pupils who applied for a grammar school were successful in at least one assessment. We are very proud that 80% of pupils who accepted a place at an independent school received a scholarship, including academic scholarships at St. Helen’s School, Thorpe House and The Royal Masonic School.
