Our youngest children attend Ducklings, the St. Helen’s College 2+
kindergarten, from the September after their 2nd birthday.
Ducklings provides a caring, balanced and structured ‘home from home’ learning environment for our youngest children at All Saints Church, Hillingdon. With a class size of 20 and a staff ratio of 1:4, our youngest pupils receive exceptional care and attention. Every unique child is treated as an individual and their needs catered for by an experienced and well-qualified team of Early Years practitioners.
‘Ducklings’ children have fun every day both inside and outside, developing their curiosity and learning about life all the time. They explore the environment; they develop a love of books, music, drama and sport; they plant, paint and draw; they use technology and they learn about different cultures. Visiting specialist teachers run engaging sessions weekly, including Spanish, Drama, Mindfulness and Football.
Our Ducklings are busy and purposeful. They are encouraged to think for themselves and make sensible choices, to share and to make new friends.
Ducklings is a safe, secure, happy place where boundaries are clearly defined and where children thrive, knowing they are valued and respected as the youngest members of the St. Helen’s College family.
Our ‘Ducklings’ move automatically into Nursery in the September after they turn 3, without any need to re-apply to the school.
